3rd Day of the: I Care About Kids Project

The first day of the Erasmus+ KA152-YOU project “I Care About Kids” (2023-1-FR02-KA152-YOU-000145811), coordinated by Caspian Research Center and bringing together participants from Azerbaijan, France, Hungary, Italy, Portugal, Türkiye, was successfully completed with a series of educational and intercultural activities.

The day began with an introductory session during which participants were informed about the objectives of the project, the programme schedule, project rules, and safety procedures to be followed throughout the mobility. Participants also received detailed information about the Erasmus+ Programme, its opportunities, priorities, and the benefits it offers to young people. This session provided a common understanding of the project's goals and created a solid foundation for the activities that would follow during the week.

Following the project introduction, participants took part in an interactive ice-breaking activity designed to help them get to know one another and build a friendly group atmosphere. Through a series of personal introductions and team-building exercises, participants shared information about themselves, including their backgrounds, interests, education, and hobbies. The activity encouraged communication, trust-building, and intercultural interaction among young people from different countries.

At the end of the session, participants completed a daily evaluation activity where they reflected on their expectations, shared their first impressions of the project, and expressed what they had learned during the day. This process allowed the project team to gather valuable feedback while encouraging participants to actively reflect on their learning experience.

Another important activity of the day focused on identifying participants’ skills, competencies, and interests. Through this process, participants were assigned responsibilities and roles for the upcoming project activities according to their abilities and areas of expertise. This ensured active participation and effective collaboration throughout the project implementation.

The first day concluded with a vibrant Cultural Night organized by the Hungarian team. Participants had the opportunity to discover different cultures through presentations, traditional foods, music, dances, and interactive cultural activities. Young people shared information about their countries and traditions while learning basic expressions from different languages. The evening promoted intercultural dialogue, mutual respect, and a deeper understanding of Europe's cultural diversity.

The successful completion of the first day established a positive and collaborative atmosphere among participants and laid the groundwork for the upcoming activities focused on child development, social inclusion, active participation, and intercultural learning. Throughout the project, participants will continue exploring innovative approaches to support children's healthy social development and raise awareness about the importance of balancing digital life with real-world social engagement.
