Today, February 26, the day marking the 29th anniversary of the Khojaly massacre, carries a very different atmosphere compared to previous commemorations. Since February 26, 1992, Azerbaijanis around the world have been in mourning. For 28 years, both on local and international levels, they have actively endeavored to spread what is commonly referred to as “the truth about Karabakh.” Lawyers, diplomats, and historians have worked to make their voices heard by an international community that appeared strangely unreceptive to their arguments.
